Reaching Taj Mahal By Air
The accessible route to reach Taj Mahal, is via Delhi International Airport to Kheria Airport in Agra. International flights connect New Delhi to all the major cities in the world.
Taj Mahal is located at a distance of 6km from the airport and taxis/cabs/auto-rickshaws, can be easily hired from any center of the town.
Reaching Taj Mahal By Rail: train services to Delhi such as the Shatabdi Express (2 hrs), Taj Express (2.5 hrs), Intercity Express (3 hrs).

The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum located in Agra, India, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan out of grief in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal who died during her 14th childbirth. It is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements from Persian, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles. One of the attraction is the Taj Mahal garden, which is unusual in that the main element, the tomb, is located at the end of the garden. Everything about the building, in and out is symmetrical. Also, the elaborate and intricate decorations by using materials from all over Asia along with the refine architecture of the building, including the interior chamber of the Taj Mahal steps far beyond traditional decorative elements. The exterior decorations of the Taj Mahal are among the finest to be found in Mughal architecture, giving rise to the large tourist attraction. The Taj Mahal attracts from 2 to 4 million visitors annually, with more than 200,000 from overseas. Tourism has brought much income to the locals, and Taj Mahal has been voted to be one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.

We agree with anonymous 1 and 2 who says that Taj Mahal is a human-made cultural-historical attraction and architectural attraction. (Mai : Is there such a thing as mythical tourism? Because, I read before that there is a myth relating to Taj Mahal (see here for info) which I think should add greatly to how it becomes more interesting)

i agree with cynthia :)it is human made attraction, it's historical. oh yes mai:)haha i think there is no "mythical tourism" . do you think that mythical tourism is the same as cultural attraction ( people want to go there to discover new cultural:) )

I think the Taj Mahal is a historical attraction as the story of the King building it for his love. And it also implies how powerful the King is and shows us the historical facts of India at that period of time.

I think Taj Mahal can be categorised as man-made cultural historical and architectural attraction. I also heard that there are people who especially go to Taj Mahal to see the beautiful architecture and I heard from Ms. Kek that it is unique as it has something to do with mathematics. I'll try to find the exact thing in the internet.
