Anchored by a world class convention centre and stretching a kilometre across five prestigious office towers, Suntec City Mall is a major shopping hub nestled in the heart of the bustling Marina Bay precinct. This mall is definitely a tourist attraction as visitors can indulge in a one-stop shopping and dining experience with more than 300 retail outlets, 50 pushcarts and 100 food and beverage establishments, including Singapore’s largest hypermarket, Carrefour. Suntec City is Singapore’s largest integrated commercial development and is the biggest monument to Feng Shui in Singapore.

Designed as a city within a city, Suntec City is a brilliant architectural manifestation of a ‘left-hand’ structure, fused with modern concepts and geomancy elements. Anchored by a world class convention centre that forms the wrist of the left hand, its five office buildings represent its fingers and thumb while the world's largest fountain, the Fountain of Wealth, stands majestically at the palm of the hand, symbolising the Chinese saying “to hold the wealth of the world in one’s hand.”For more information about Suntec City, here are some useful websites to check out: http://www.suntecreit.com/sunteccitymall/

Does everyone go there just to visit the fountain? What are the other activities that take place in Suntec? (Look up the full name of Suntec City)

Suntec City is also a popular shopping center besides the many restaurants and convention centers where book fairs, road shows and many more are held.

We think that Suntec City is a multi-purpose attraction. It is definitely man-made shopping attraction since it is filled with shops. We do not think that it is a food attraction because the food there is common. It is also architectural attraction. The fountain is unique.

In my view, Suntec City is a shopping tourism because it is filled with a lot of shops, a lot. The restaurants are just complementary. The unique structure is also an attraction, but I think most people go there to shop. hehe..

Besides shopping, Moi, you also mentioned that road fairs and possibly other exhibitions and seminars are held there. How can we classify this type of tourism?

I think it is business tourism, too. hehe..
after ms tham explained. hehe.. because people can go there to have meetings, show exhibitions, etc. Moreover, it is in the middle of the city, so people can easily go there.

I think the tourists go there for the architecture of the building. I think the main attractions are still the shopping attraction and events attractions. Many events are held there for example important meeting among companies or countries.
